Corvallis, Oregon - The fifth-ranked Stanford women's golf team shot a 302 in the first round of the NCAA West Regional today in Corvallis, Oregon and are currently in second. Arizona leads the field by 15 strokes after shooting a 287 on the day. Rounding out the top five are Michigan State, Memphis State and Ohio State.
Individually, sophomore Kim Rowton is leading the Cardinal after shooting a two-over par 74 on the day (T9). Freshman Angela Rho is tied for 13th with a 75 while senior Stephanie Keever comes in tied for 22nd with a 76. Senior Hilary Homeyer and freshman Kim Kouwabunpat check in tied for 31st after carding a 77.
Arizona's Natalie Gulbis leads the field after shooting a four-under par 68 in the first round.
Play continues tomorrow at the Trysting Tree Golf Club in Corvallis, Oregon and concludes on Saturday.
