Boston, MA - The Cardinal men competed at the Head of the Charles in Boston, MA. The Cardinal finished 18th overall and 10th in the collegiate field. Head Coach Craig Amerkhanian said: "Our inexperience showed with our performance in our start and finish. Clearly, we could have improved by ten seconds with stronger emphasis on both ends of the race."
It was a Stanford crew family affair as Rob Bigler ('96) and Matt Stein ('96) showed the team plenty of hospitality upon their arrival. Recent graduates Simona Chin ('01), Mario Luis Ramirez ('01) and Keith Michael ('01) were all on hand to cheer on their former teammates. The Cardinal next race on October 26th in Sacramento, CA. at the Head of the American.
