Corvallis, Ore. - The Stanford women's golf team fired a 302 in the final round of the 2003 Pac-10 Championships in Corvallis, Oregon, today to finish sixth overall with a three-day total of 920. California took the team title with a score of 892, followed by Arizona (897). Rounding out the top five were UCLA (902), USC (903) and Arizona State (915).
Stanford senior Kim Rowton carded a 72 this afternoon to finish seventh individually with a 222 (72-78-72). Junior Angela Rho tied for 19th after turning in a three round score of 230 (76-78-76) while teammate Kim Kouwabunpat tied for 30th with a 234 (81-77-76). Freshman Kelly Husted, competing in her first conference tourney, placed 39th with a 237 (78-78-81). Sophomore Wendra Liang placed 49th, carding a 242 (84-80-78). Freshman Stephanie Lue, competing as an individual, tied for 45th with a 241 (81-81-79).
California's Vikki Laing was crowned the individual champion, firing a three-round score of even par 216. USC's Mikaela Parmlid took second (217), followed by Arizona's Erica Blasberg (219). Blair O'Neal, from Arizona State, finished fourth with a 220 while Cal's Sarah Huarte and UCLA's Hana Kim tied for fifth (221).
