?Fifth-year senior wide receiver Luke Powell finished with career-highs of 12 catches and 172 receiving yards. His previous career-high of six catches was accomplished three times in 2001. His previous career-best of 158 yards was accomplished at San Jose State on Dec. 1, 2001.
?Luke Powell's 12 receptions tied for the ninth highest single game total in school history, and was the highest since DeRonnie Pitts grabbed 13 vs. USC on October 21, 2000. Powell's 172 yards also tied for the 15th highest total in school single game history.
?San Jose State outscored the Cardinal 10-0 in the first quarter, but Stanford answered back with 21 straight points in the second quarter. In the last three meetings between the teams (2001-03), San Jose State has outscored Stanford by a combined 20-14 in the first quarter. In the second quarter, the Cardinal has outscored the Spartans 55-10.
?Redshirt sophomore J.R. Lemon's six-yard rushing touchdown in the second quarter and three-yard run in the fourth quarter were the fourth and fifth of his career. All five of Lemon's career rushing touchdowns have come against San Jose State. Lemon also rushed for a career-high 103 yards, surpassing his previous career-high of 69 vs. San Jose State. It was the first 100 yard effort by a Cardinal running back since Casey Moore gained 116 yards at Arizona State on Sept. 28, 2002.

?In his collegiate debut, redshirt freshman quarterback Trent Edwards went 21-of-38 for 278 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions. In the second quarter alone, Edwards was 9-of-11 for 130 yards and two touchdowns.
?San Jose State's nine yards net rushing was the seventh lowest total ever allowed by the Stanford defense, and lowest since California had (-36) net yards rushing on Nov. 22, 1998.
?San Jose State set a school record with 67 pass attempts against Stanford. That broke the previous mark of 61 at Pacific on Nov. 11, 1978.
