The Stanford Women's Crew will host Pac-10 competitor #15 USC this weekend at their home course on Redwood Shores. The Cardinal has been off from competition since the San Diego Crew Classic on April 5 where they finished 9th in the first eight event and 10th in in the second eight event. USC finished four seconds ahead of the first eight in the heat in San Diego and nine seconds ahead of the second eight. In the 2003 dual between the two teams Stanford defeated the Trojans in the first and second eights.
This weekend will be the debut for the Cardinal varsity four. The lineup is comprised of first year rowers Stephanie Hausladen and Christina Liebner, second year rowers Umi Jensen and Diana Agraz, and a first year coxswain Karin Donhowe.
The Cardinal look to this weekend as the beginning of their push toward their third straight NCAA bid.
