FOOTBALL POST-GAME NOTES
at Stanford 45, Arizona State 35 (Stanford, CA - Stanford Stadium)
October 22, 2005

STANFORD
Stanford extended its win streak to three games (at Washington State, at Arizona, Arizona State), the largest since the Cardinal captured the final four games of the regular season in 2001 (at Arizona, California, Notre Dame, at San Jose State).

Stanford's third straight Pac-10 win marked the first time the Cardinal has won three of more straight Pac-10 games since the 1999 squad started its Pac-10 slate with five consecutive victories (Washington State, at Arizona, UCLA, Oregon State, at USC).

Stanford defeated Arizona State for the third straight time that the teams have played at Stanford Stadium.

Stanford did not commit a turnover for the third straight contest, while Arizona State had one ... Stanford is a perfect 4-0 this season when the Cardinal has fewer turnovers than its opponent and 0-2 when they commit more turnovers than their opponent.

Stanford head coach Walt Harris earned his first victory at Stanford Stadium.

The 7.0 sacks by Stanford were the most since the Cardinal had 8.0 in a 21-14 win over UCLA at Stanford Stadium on November 1, 2003.

The 31 points by Stanford in the first half were the most since the Cardinal scored 38 in a 54-17 victory over Washington State at Stanford Stadium (9/11/99).

Trent Edwards passed for a career-high 303 yards (previous, 297 at BYU, 9/20/03) and also tied a career-best with three touchdown passes, giving him eight TD throws in the last three games ... Edwards' 300-yard passing game was the first of his career and marked the first time a Cardinal quarterback has thrown for 300 or more yards since Chris Lewis had 390 yards passing in the Big Game versus California on November 17, 2001.

Babatunde Oshinowo had career-highs of 3.0 sacks, 4.0 tackles for loss and nine total tackles.

Brandon Harrison recorded a career-high 11 total tackles.

Mike Silva recorded a career-high nine total tackles.

Mark Bradford had a career-highs of nine catches and 185 receiving yards, while also tying a career-best with two touchdown receptions.

Michael Sgroi kicked his 41st career field goal at Stanford to move within one of fourth-place Rod Garcia (42, 1971-73) on Stanford's career field goal list ... Sgroi also made all six of his PAT attempts to increase his career total to 86, moving into a tie for fifth-place on that all-time school list.
