Oct. 23, 2005

Stanford, Calif. - The 2006 Stanford Baseball team scored seven runs in the bottom of the second inning and added five more in the sixth to cruise to a 15-3 victory in the school's annual Alumni Game played Sunday at Sunken Diamond. Chris Lewis' grandslam capped the seven-run Cardinal second, while Joey August hit a three-run homer to key the five-run Cardinal sixth. Starting pitcher Rex Petrill (3.0 IP, 2 H, 2 R, 1 BB, 1 SO) picked up the victory on the mound.

Stanford's Jeff Whitlow (2-3) was the only player in the game for either team with more than one hit.
