Stanford scored two defensive touchdowns in the contest on a fumble recovery in the UC Davis end zone by Kevin Schimmelmann with 0:56 remaining in the first quarter and a 54-yard TD fumble return by Michael Craven with 6:21 to go in the second quarter ... The two defensive touchdowns marked the first time the Cardinal has accomplished the feat since Tank Williams (25 yards) and Coy Wire (89 yards) both returned fumbles for TD's in the third quarter of a 51-37 win at Arizona on November 10, 2001
