Stanford Synchro Opens Season with Strong Performance

Jan. 19, 2006

Stanford Synchronized Swimming traveled to Honolulu over the Martin Luther King, Jr. weekend to compete against the University of Hawaii. The dual meet was meant to help raise attention and generate support for the first-year Hawaii team in hopes of establishing another varsity program in the West Region. Stanford swept every event, but the true victory was in the camaraderie between the two programs.

Stanford Synchro hopes to build upon their early season success when they travel to Texas on February 27th to compete against the University of Incarnate Word in San Antonio. UIW swam to a strong 3rd place finish at last year's U.S. Collegiate Championships, and this meet promises to be competitive. The Cardinal squad will focus on a strong overall performances and securing their second win of the season.
