No. 13 Stanford Scores Decisive Win At California

Berkeley, Ca - The 13th-ranked Stanford women's gymnastics team recorded its highest point total of the 2006 season with a convincing 195.925 - 192.150 victory at California in a Pac-10 meet Friday night at Haas Pavilion.

Stanford's point total easily bested the previous season best of 194.950 at the Cancun Classic on Jan 6.

The Cardinal dominated the meet in every event. The Cardinal recorded first place wins in the All-Around (Tabitha Yim, 39.300), Vault (Liz Tricase, 9.950), Bars (Liz Tricase, 9.925), Beam (Tabitha Yim, 9.875) and Floor Exercise (Nicole Ourada, 9.900). Stanford went 1-2-3 in the Vault and Floor Exercise.

The victory upped Stanford's record to 7-2 overall and 1-1 in the Pac-10. Stanford travels to Arizona State on Feb. 10 before returning for its next home meet on February 17 against nationally-ranked Arizona at Burnham Pavilion.

Cardinal Catalogue
Alex Pintchouk had a career-best on Vault (9.875) ... Nicole Ourada's effort of 9.750 on Bars, 9.825 on Beam, and 9.900 in Floor Exercise were collegiate career-bests.
