lewis-chris-94.jpgspacer.gifChris Lewis: hey this is Chris and im ready to field any questions that you may have about me or Stanford Baseball
Jeff Kent(Los Angeles): Chris, Hey bro I'm a big fan of yours keep hittin the ball brotha. Heard you're quite the golfer too. Anyway, if you notice my name, I'm not the baseball player but I did go to Cal and struggle academically. Do you have any advice for my kids both academically and possibly some hitting tips? Heated
lewis-chris-94.jpgspacer.gifChris Lewis: Hey Jeff... Golf is just a midweek hobby! anyway, as far as academics just tell your kids that its important to keep with it and dont get discouraged by school. Theres a lot of help out there! Hitting tips? Let the ball travel, stay inside, and LET IT FLY!
Felix (Los Altos): You've had some trouble this year - both in the field and at the plate. As a senior, how do you assert your leadership in the clubhouse despite your difficulties in the field?
lewis-chris-94.jpgspacer.gifChris Lewis: Hey Felix... My senior year has gone a little different than I expected. I just try to keep the guys focused and let them know that we are not out of this thing yet. It is important that we stay together as a team and take it one game at a time.
jorge Hernandez de Maria: I hear your spanish is very good, do you feel that your linguistic abilities contribute to your latin fielding style? If so, who on the team do you speak spanish with?
lewis-chris-94.jpgspacer.gifChris Lewis: haha... i didnt know i had any latin fielding style, but thanks for the compliment! On the team i like to speak spanish with Randy Molina... we have fun with it and it keeps some practices more interesting.
Randolfino Guadalupe (Mexico): Quien es to jugaoe favorito en las grandes Ligas? Y quien es tu Mexicano Favorito??
lewis-chris-94.jpgspacer.gifChris Lewis: well, i think my favorite player would have to be Alex Rodriquez... He can do it all and he makes the game look so easy. As for your other question, i would have to say Randy Molina.

Susan: What is the most important skill for a collegiate baseball player to posess - and when did you aquire that skill?

Also, who is your favorite athletic department administrator? Hint: she makes good grub.

lewis-chris-94.jpgspacer.gifChris Lewis: Hi susan, well i think the most important skill a college player needs to have is consistency. Unfortunately for myself, i dont think i have mastered this skill yet. If one can be consistent day in and day out, it will give them the best chamce to compete to the best of their ability, at any level. My favorite Administrator would have to be the daughter of a world renowned bio professor, who can REALLY COOK! :)
Greg (Manhattan Beach): Do you still covet a sweet water polo robe? I'm open to trade suggestions. I hope that all is well and best of luck during the rest of the season.
lewis-chris-94.jpgspacer.gifChris Lewis: Greg... I never received that robe and im still a little bitter about it... as for a trade, im sure we could work something out. thanks!
Jenny (Stanford): Hey Chris, it's been great watching you play these last 4 years! What's your favorite Stanford Baseball memory?
lewis-chris-94.jpgspacer.gifChris Lewis: Hi Jenny. My favorite Stanford memory has got to be going to the College World Series my freshman year. It was an unbelieveable experience that I will always remember!
Sam (Los Angeles, CA): Chris,How difficult for you has it been to move back and forth between second and third base this season?
lewis-chris-94.jpgspacer.gifChris Lewis: Hi sam, well to be honest it hasnt really been that difficult. Coach switches me around all the time at practice so I get plenty of reps at both positions.

Tim (Tyler, Texas): Chris,You have really torn up the Trojans at USC this season. What has made you so successful against them this season?

Thanks and good luck to the Cardinal.

lewis-chris-94.jpgspacer.gifChris Lewis: Hey Tim. I dont really know why I play so well against them. They have a very good staff and they have put together back to back good season so far. I consider them one of our biggest rivals in baseball so maybe that has a little bit to do with it.
Sandy (Corvallis): Chris,I know you've played four years of college baseball at a great place like Stanford. How do you think that will compare to pro ball and are you looking forward to playing professionally starting this summer?
lewis-chris-94.jpgspacer.gifChris Lewis: Hey Sandy, well college baseball has really been a lot of fun for me. I have enjoyed every minute of it! As for pro ball, that has always been a dream of mine and I look forward to the opportunity. I guess its just the next step in my career and im very excited about it.
Saul Davis (Honolulu, Hawaii): Hi, Chris. I know a bunch of Cardinal players spent last summer playing summer ball in Hawaii. What was that like?
lewis-chris-94.jpgspacer.gifChris Lewis: Saul. Hawaii was a blast! the weather was unbelievable the entire time and the people there were so nice and hospitable. I think that league will become one of the most popular leagues for college players to be a part of in years to come.
lewis-chris-94.jpgspacer.gifChris Lewis: Thanks for all of your questions! This has been a lot of fun. I want to thank you all for all of your support throughout the years. GO CARD!
Tom: Hi Chris. I know your father comes to almost every game. He must be very supportive. Did he coach you as a kid and talk about what its like to look up and see him there supporting you all the time. Good luck this weekend.
lewis-chris-94.jpgspacer.gifChris Lewis: hey tom, ya my dad is a big fan of baseball in general. I love seeing him in the stands, but i can always tell when he thinks theres been a bad call cuz i can hear him anywhere on the field! But yes, he's very supportive of the entire team and he's been my biggest fan. he never coached me as a kid, just gave me a lot of good advice and encouragement.
