NCAA Men's Singles Championship
May 29, 2006 * Stanford, CA
Finals

NCAA Singles Champion Benjamin Kohlloeffel, UCLA
"I'm just really happy, it's such an incredible feeling to win the NCAAs. We won it with the team last year and it was great and winning it individually, it makes me feel good. I'm proud of being here and it's a good achievement for me to be. I'm happy to be the next Bruin to win it after Coach Martin."

"If you're No. 1 seeded, I think you kind of have the imagination that you can win it. I didn't come here with the expectation to win a round, I really wanted to go for it. But you can never plan it in the end, you know how tennis is and you know how many upsets there were during the tournament. I knew I had chances to win it, but you have to come out every day and fight hard for it because once you're sloppy or not focused, you lose. I'm just glad that I kept my focus going."

"The start is always crucial, especially in those matches because everyone goes out and is nervous, I mean I was really nervous, I don't know if Somdev was as nervous as I was, but it was good to know that you were a break up and it makes you feel better. Once I was up 4-1, I started realizing that I could win it and it's a tough feeling. If you're close to closing it out, you have a lot of thoughts in your head and it's tough to play and tough to finish it."

NCAA Singles Runner-Up Somdev Devvarman, Virginia
"I think he played really well and he kept control most of the match. I tried to come out and stay aggressive right from the start. He came out a little better than me today and that's why he won the match. He was better than me today and didn't give me much of a chance."

"He got off to a great start. He wasn't really missing and he was really making me move a lot. Also, I made a few uncharacteristic errors, which a guy at a good level will definitely take advantage of. He did that today. Perfectly."

"I knew he was going to come in a lot and usually I pass a lot better, I didn't pass that terribly today, he volleys really well. His presence on the court is really good. His approaches were really good, which made the pass shot a little harder. Not much I could have done today. I mean, I could have started better, but once again, he just played a really good match all the way through, and gave me very little chance."

NCAA Men's Doubles Championship
May 29, 2006 * Stanford, CA
Finals

NCAA Doubles Champions Ryan Rowe & Kevin Anderson, Illinois

Rowe - "It's a great feeling, I'm not sure how to react. But for now, I'm happy and glad to share this experience with Kevin. He's one of my best friends."

"Every match we come out and assume it's going to be a battle and try to grow through every experience that we go through. The more matches we play, the better we get and the more experience we get. So that comes out and by the finals, we start to play pretty good tennis."

Anderson - "It's been a great semester for the two of us. We started playing together last year and we didn't really know what to expect coming into this season, but we gelled extremely well as a team. This was nice to have the opportunity to win the National Championship. I think we definitely proved ourselves as the best team in country and today we played well. We scraped through some our first matches in the tournament, but today we came out firing and we played a really good match."

NCAA Doubles Runners-Up Scott Doerner & Andre Begemann, Pepperdine
Begemann - "They played a great match. We won the National Title last week and we were playing great in doubles, this week was a really great week. Scott and I played really great tennis in doubles. These guys came out big today. We lost the first set 6-2 and after that we tried to keep the positive energy, and we were hoping to get our chance in the second set, but they were playing too good. They were just to good today."
