Stanford, Calif. - The fifth ranked team in the country was too much for Stanford to handle, as CS Northridge defeated the Cardinal tonight 3-0 at Burnham Pavilion. The Matadors won the match with games scores of 30-21, 30-22, and 30-18. With the loss, Stanford falls to 4-18 overall and 2-14 in the MPSF. CS Northridge improves to 12-8 overall and 7-7 in conference play.

"CS Northridge is a really good team and they showed it tonight," said head coach Don Shaw. "I though we played well at times, but our inconsistency allowed Northridge to play more comfortably. We just gave up too many streaks to beat them tonight."

Senior Chris Ahlfeldt notched five kills and three total blocks. Senior William Clayton and junior Matt Ceran also chipped in five kills each.
