Main Draw Singles Pairings
TULSA, Okla. - Stanford men's tennis players freshman Bradley Klahn and junior Richard Wire both won their final qualifying singles bracket matches today at the D'Novo/ITA All-American Championships at the University of Tulsa to move on to the main draw of the tournament.
Klahn handled New Mexico's Johnny Parkes, ranked No. 116, in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3, while Wire upset Alabama's 57th-ranked Mathieu Thibaudeau, 6-4, 7-6 (5). The two will now join teammate and sophomore Alex Clayton, in the main draw beginning tomorrow.
Wire will take on Notre Dame's No. 25 Brett Helgeson at 9:30 a.m. CT, Klahn will face Oklahoma's No. 22 Andrei Daescu at the same time. Fourth-ranked Clayton (also seeded fourth) will square off against Auburn's No. 21 Alexey Tsyrenov at 11:30 a.m. CT. Fans can tune in to follow live stats and video at REPLACE_ME.
