STANFORD, Calif. (AP) -- Josh Owens scored a career-high 21 points to help Stanford beat Colorado 76-62 on Saturday to remain undefeated under first-year coach Johnny Dawkins.
Lawrence Hill added 16 points as the Cardinal (4-0) won their third straight at home. Anthony Goods had 15 points as Stanford beat Colorado for the third consecutive time. Owens matched his career high with 8 rebounds.
Freshman Nate Tomlinson scored 12 of his season-high 18 points in the second half to lead the Buffaloes (3-2), who lost in their first road game of the year. Dwight Thorne also scored 18 points in Colorado's first visit to Stanford in 17 years.
The Buffaloes closed to within seven early in the second half but never got any closer.
Thorne hit a pair of 3-pointers in the final two minutes as Colorado went on a 7-1 run to draw within 42-32 at halftime.

Stanford improved to 7-3 all-time against Colorado and has won six of the last eight overall.
Josh Owens scored a career-high 21 points and led all players with eight rebounds. He finished 8-12 from the field and connected on 5-9 free throw attempts, bringing his season total from the charity stripe to 19-23 (82.6 percent).
Stanford has scored at least 75 points in all four games this year and is averaging 82.5 points per game.
Anthony Goods poured in 15 points and was a perfect 5-5 from the foul line. Through four games, Goods leads the squad in scoring (19.8 ppg), three-pointers (13), free throws (22) and free throw percentage (91.7 percent).
Stanford has forced its opponents into at least 15 turnovers in every game this year.
Jeremy Green converted on two of his three three-point attempts and is now 5-10 from beyond the arc.
Despite being held scoreless for the second game in a row, Mitch Johnson led all players with six assists and increased his season total to 24 against only 11 turnovers.
Stanford has won 12 straight non-conference games at home, with its last loss coming back on Jan. 31, 2007, in the form of a 90-86 double-overtime setback against Gonzaga.
Stanford is shooting 77.1 percent from the free throw line, with 84 makes in 109 attempts. Opponents are shooting just 60 percent, having made 36 of 60 opportunities.
After a 14-day finals break, Stanford is back in action on Dec. 14 at Colorado State.
