FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) -- Anthony Goods scored 23 points as Stanford remained unbeaten with a 74-63 victory over struggling Colorado State on Sunday night.

Josh Owens added 14 points for the Cardinal (5-0), who hadn't played since beating Colorado, 76-62, on Nov. 29.

Stanford opened the year with five wins, the most since starting the 2003-04 season with a 26-game winning streak.

Marcus Walker led Colorado State (3-7) with 15 points. The Rams suffered their fifth straight loss and hurt themselves with 17 turnovers.

Goods' layup in the last 55 seconds put Stanford ahead 33-32 at the half.

Landry Fields had two layups off turnovers in a 13-4 run that put Stanford up 45-35 early in the second half. The Rams closed to within 64-59 on two free throws by Dan Vandervieren. Goods sealed it with a layup and free throw with 2:51 left.

NOTES:

As of Sunday night, Stanford (5-0) and Drexel (2-3) had played the fewest games so far (5) of any team in Division 1.
Stanford is off to its best start since winning 26 straight games to open the 2003-04 campaign. The Cardinal is one of 14 remaining undefeated teams in the nation.
Temperature outside Moby Arena at tip-off was an extremely frigid -5 degrees, with light snow falling and howling, brisk winds greeting those brave enough to attend the game.
The Stanford women's volleyball team and coaching staff attended Sunday's game. The Cardinal swept Hawai'i on Saturday night in the NCAA Tournament regional final at Moby Arena to qualify for the Final Four in Omaha, Neb., later this week.
After Sunday's 23-point performance, Anthony Goods has now reached the 20-point mark in three games this year. Entering this season, Goods had recorded five 20-point games over his first three seasons. He currently leads the Cardinal in scoring at 20.4 points per game.
Landry Fields and Lawrence Hill each hauled down nine rebounds, helping Stanford grab a season-best 37 boards and surpass 35-rebound mark for the first time this year.
Stanford is 5-0 when leading at halftime and has won seven in a row dating back to last year when that's the case.
Stanford has forced at least 15 turnovers in every game this year, with Colorado State becoming the latest victim with 17 miscues tonight. Stanford's assist/turnover ratio stands at +6.2 and leads the Pac-10 in that category.
Four Cardinal players scored in double-figures on Sunday night, representing the third time that has happened this year.
Mitch Johnson snapped an 0-7 shooting skid with a jumper in the first half for his first bucket since Nov. 18 against Cal State Northridge.
Will Paul played 10 minutes off the bench in his return to the hardwood. Paul, who redshirted last year and missed the first four games of this year with a stress reaction, missed his only shot attempt (a three-pointer), grabbed one rebound and committed four fouls.
