STANFORD, Calif.- Lawrence Hill made sure his final collegiate nonconference game was memorable even if the only thing going through his mind was getting ready for the next game.

Hill scored 20 points in helping Stanford beat Cal State Bakersfield 85-50 on Tuesday night and immediately turned his attention to Stanford's game at California on Saturday.

"I always think about the next game ...," Hill said. "I look at the next game and treat it like it's my last game."

Landry Fields added 10 points for the Cardinal (15-7), which improved to 11-0 in non-conference play this year.

"I thought we played well from start to finish," Stanford coach Johnny Dawkins said. "We established what we wanted to do in the first five minutes. It was a good, solid effort."

Stanford played without leading scorer Anthony Goods, who felt ill during the shootaround earlier in the day. He was dehydrated and needed an IV.

"We're not sure what it is," Dawkins said. "Food poisoning or the flu. I hope he's ready for Saturday's game, but the important thing is he gets better."

Latunde Santwon and Cory Brown each scored eight points to lead the Roadrunners (6-18), who fell to 1-13 on the road and lost their sixth in seven overall.

"We feel like we got outplayed and we got outcoached too," Roadrunners' coach Keith Brown said. "They shot the ball well and executed against what we were trying to do defensively. They were patient, good on the offensive boards and got second and third shots."

Stanford freshman Jeremy Green made his collegiate starting debut in place of Goods and finished with seven points on 3-of-4 shooting.

All 14 players who saw action either scored or had a rebound for the Cardinal, who took a 37-17 lead with 4:42 remaining in the first half.

The Roadrunners are in their fourth year of making the transition to a fully-fledged NCAA Division I program.

Cal State Bakersfield faced its biggest deficit of the season when it fell behind by 42 points late in the game.

Fields hit a jumper at the buzzer to give Stanford a 50-25 halftime lead.
