Nate Whitaker has now made 14 field goals in a row dating back to last year following the 46 yarder to end the first half. It was his longest of the season and longest since his 47-yarder against Notre Dame to end the 2009 regular season.

Stanford has now lost its last seven games dating back to 1970 as a top-10 team. It snaps a three-game winning streak against ranked teams. Stanford is 4-3 as a ranked team under Harbaugh.

Coby Fleener has caught TD passes in three of the last four games and the last two.

It was the first career interception for Chase Thomas, as the 44-yard rushing touchdown on the next play was a career-long for Stepfan Taylor, breaking his previous best of 33 yards against ASU last season. It was Taylor's second 100-yard game of the season and the 113 yards was a career-best, breaking the 108 he had against Notre Dame.

Delano Howell had his third career interception near the end of the second quarter.

For Andrew Luck, it was his fourth career rushing TD and second this season.

Andrew Luck has thrown two interceptions in each of the last two weeks. He threw four all of last year.

Owen Marecic had 10 tackles, the co-leader on the team.

Griff Whalen caught his first career touchdown pass in the first quarter (5:06). His receiving total of 78 yards is a career-high. He had all of 60 yards receiving all of last year and 95 yards coming into this game.

Stanford with a 21-3 first quarter lead, the Cardinal have now outscored opponents 76-20 in the first frame.

Stanford had trailed 3-0 in each of its last two contests, the only time until the third quarter Stanford had trailed all season.
