Mosko Leads with Two Wins at Pacific Invite

STOCKTON, Calif.-- David Mosko won the 200 fly and 500 free and overall Stanford won seven of ten events on the second day of the Pacific Invitational. The Cardinal also had the top-four finishers in the 200 fly and 50 and 100 freestyles.

Mosko, one of the team's tri-captains, paced four Cardinal in the 200 fly with a win of 1:48.54, three tenths in front of teammate Bobby Bollier. Mosko also won the 500 free, a second and a half of fellow of captain Chad La Tourette, with a time of 4:29.27. Mosko was also a part of the winning 800 free relay team, swimming the second leg en route toa 6:47.18 top time.

The meet between Pacific, BYU and California, also had Stanford's Bobby Bollier winning the 100 fly (49.77), Matt Thompson winning the 200 back (1:49.05) and Curtis Lovelace (2:08.28) and John Criste (2:05.26) finishing 1-2 in the 200 breast.

Stanford is next in action when it hosts the annual alumni meet on Homecoming Weekend, on Saturday starting at 9 a.m with the women's team.
