USAFA, Colo. - Stanford completed its exhibition season on Saturday night with a 2-1 loss at Air Force. The Cardinal got a goal from Adam Jahn, but fell in the preseason game. Stanford used 21 players as head coach Bret Simon continues to evaluate his players before the opener.

Air Force got a pair of goals from Kevin Durr to earn the 2-1 victory. Durr scored in the 35th minute of the first half to give the Falcons a 1-0 lead. Jahn's goal tied the game in the 63rd minute, but Derr finished the game-winner with just over a minute remaining in regulation.

The Stanford goal came on a free kick from Ryan Thomas that was mishandled by the Air Force goalkeeper Matt Underwood. Jahn was in the right place to finish the rebound for his third goal in two exhibition games.

The Cardinal will now continue east to begin the regular season. Stanford opens with a game at Vermont on Wednesday, Sept. 1, at 1:00 p.m.
