SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Stanford wrapped up its exhibition season with a 1-1 tie at Sacramento State on Sunday evening. After conceding an early goal, the Cardinal responded with a late goal to earn the draw.
Sacramento State got on the board in the 33th minute and led 1-0 all the way to the 82nd minute when Stanford evened the score. The Cardinal goal came when an Adam Jahn cross found the head of Taylor Amman. Amman redirected the header at the near post for a goal.
The two teams played 20 minutes of scoreless overtime and the game ended in a draw. Stanford outshot the Hornets 17-11, including four shots from Amman.
Jahn earned the assist and has a goal and an assist in the exhibition season.
The Cardinal will open the regular season at Santa Clara on August 27 at 7 p.m.
