SUNNYVALE, Calif. - A day after finishing third at the Wisconsin adidas Invitational, the No. 4 Stanford men showed off its depth, winning the Bronco Invitational with a different team that ran in Wisconsin. The Cardinal dominated the field, scoring just 38 points, well ahead of second-place Cal Poly who scored 77.
The Cardinal was led by Andrew Berberick who went under the 24-minute barrier with a time of 23:59.7 to place sixth. He was 11 seconds off the lead of Chad Hall of UC Riverside who won in 23:48.0. Hall is the younger brother of Stanford great Ryan Hall.
Just behind Berberick were J.T. Sullivan and Miles Unterreiner in seventh and eighth place, respectively. Sullivan ran a time of 24:03.7, while Unterreiner finished with a time of 24:03.9.
Rounding out the scoring for Stanford were Riley Sullivan and Tyler Stutzman. Sullivan finished 10th with a time of 24:11.9, while Stutzman was 12th in 24:16.0.
Also running well was Tyler Valdes who was 13th in 24:16.2.
The women did not run a full team, but did have some solid individual performances.
Aimee Trujillo led the Cardinal, finishing 19th with a time of 17:36.6.
Also running well was Tate Murray who placed 58th with a time of 18:13.3.
