EUGENE, Ore. (AP) - Devoe Joseph scored a career-high 30 points to lead Oregon past Stanford 78-67 on Thursday night.
Coming off a four-point, 1-for-13 shooting performance Saturday against Washington, Joseph made 9 of 15, including 5 of 9 from 3-point range.
E.J. Singler scored 13 points for the Ducks (11-3, 2-1 Pac-12), who went 10 for 12 from the free throw line in the final 3 minutes.
Oregon is off to its best start since opening 12-4 in 2006-07 and is 9-0 this season when scoring at least 70.
Josh Owens led the Cardinal (12-3, 2-1) with 19 points. He had 17 points on 7-of-9 shooting in the first half but picked up his third foul early in the second and sat out nearly 7 minutes.
Aaron Bright also scored 14 points for the Cardinal, and John Gage added 13.
Oregon led 34-32 at halftime and never trailed in the second half.

NOTES: For at least the first half, it looked as if Josh Owens was well on his way to a repeat of last year's 31-point performance against Oregon. In 17 minutes of action during the first period on Thursday, Owens scored 17 points on 7-9 shooting with three boards. In 16 first-half minutes of last year's game at Matthew Knight Arena, Owens scored 17 points on 7-10 shooting with five boards ... Oregon cashed in with a 20-26 mark from the foul line, while Stanford was just 5-9 ... Oregon's 78 points, 20 free throws and 48.1 field goal percentage represented season-high totals for a Stanford opponent ... Devoe Joseph become the opposing player to score at least 30 points since Dominique Morrison of Oral Roberts poured in 31 points on 13-19 shooting back on Nov. 18, 2009 ... Aaron Bright finished with 14 points and has now scored in double figures in four consecutive games ... John Gage added a career-high 13 points on 5-10 shooting with three treys in 20 minutes off the bench ... Stanford is now 6-22 on the road in conference play dating back to the 2008-09 campaign.
