![]() | For the second consecutive game, junior Meghan Sickler knocked in the winning run as the Stanford softball team notched a 3-2 win over Oklahoma in an elimination game at the College World Series in Oklahoma City, Okla in front of a crowd of 6,423. The Cardinal improve to 49-18 while the Sooners end their season with a 45-22-1 record. There was a weather delay at the top of the sixth inning due to lightning on Saturday night and the game was postponed until 9 a.m. on Sunday morning. Full Recap |Game Statistics |

![]() | The Stanford softball team fell to UCLA, 8-2, in their opening game at the 2004 Women's College World Series in Oklahoma City, Okla. The Cardinal are now 47-18 overall while the Bruins improve to 44-9 on the year. Stanford got on the board in the top of the first inning as lead-off hitter Jackie Rinehart got things started with a single up the middle. ![]() | Senior hurler Dana Sorensen pitched a two-hitter as the seventh-ranked Stanford softball team defeated Hofstra, 3-1, this afternoon at Boyd and Jill Smith Stadium to advance to the College World Series. The Cardinal improve to 47-17 on the year while The Pride end their season with a 38-21 record. Stanford will be making its second appearance at the College World Series - the first coming in 2001. ![]() | First baseman Leah Nelson hit her fourth homerun of the season and notched three RBI as the Stanford softball team defeated Hofstra, 7-1, this afternoon at Smith Family Stadium to advance to the championship game of the Stanford NCAA Regional. The Cardinal improve to 46-16 on the year. Jackie Rinehart opened the first inning with a walk to get things started for Stanford. Catalina Morris reached on a fielder's choice then stole second. The Cardinal improve to 45-16 on the year while the Tigers fall to 35-22. The Cardinal got on the board early in the first inning as Catalina Morris and Lauren Lappin hit back-to-back singles to put runners on first and second. ![]() | Senior pitcher Dana Sorensen struck out 14 batters as the No. 1 seeded Stanford softball team defeated Utah, 1-0, tonight at the NCAA Softball Regional held at Boyd and Jill Smith Family Stadium in Stanford, Calif. The Cardinal improve to 44-16 on the year while the Utes fall to 23-32. Stanford scored their only run of the game in the bottom of the fourth innings when Lauren Lappin opened the inning with a single to leftfield. Lappin advanced to second on a wild pitch.
