Played 607 minutes, easily surpassing his previous two-year total of 104 minutes (1997-98, 1998-99 seasons) ... Averaged 8.3 points and 6.1 rebounds (#3 on the Cardinal, #14 in the Pac-10) per game ... Scored in double figures in 13 games ... Had four double-doubles (points-rebounds) ... Grabbed ten or more rebounds in six games ... Shot a team-leading .622 from the floor, fifth-best for a single season at Stanford ... Helped lead the Cardinal to victory in his first career start with a season-high 18 points, 12 rebounds, two blocks and a steal against Iowa (1/22/99) in the championship game of the Coaches vs Cancer Tournament in New York City ... Moved into the starting lineup for eleven games with the hamstring injury to Mark Madsen ... Tallied 17 points (5-for-6 from the floor, 7-for-8 from the free throw line) vs Washington (1/27/00) ... Turned in 14 points and a career-high 13 rebounds against Sacramento State (12/18/99) ... Grabbed 12 rebounds against Duke (11/11/99) ... 1998-99 Season (Redshirt Freshman): Became the second Stanford basketball player in school history to grace the cover of Sports Illustrated ... Appeared on the March Madness cover (March 15) ... Arthur Lee was the first player to be on the cover of Sports Illustrated (pre-season issue) ... Suffered a dislocated right wrist against George Washington (12/7/98) which ended his season after seven games ... With 12:48 to play in the game, he drove to the basket, made the shot, was fouled and fell hard to the floor ... He braced his fall with his right hand ... Jason was unable to make the free throw to complete the three-point play ... Jason had been a key player off the bench, averaging 4.1 points and 3.3 rebounds per game ... Jason had been averaging 12.7 minutes per game ... Scored a season-high nine points against Southwest Missouri State (11/20/98).
1997-98 Season (Freshman): A medical redshirt was given to Jason after he suffered a left knee injury (frayed meniscus cartilage) during practice on Nov. 26 in Hilo, Hawai'i ... Arthoscopic surgery was performed on Dec. 10, 1997, and another surgical procedure was performed on Feb. 20, 1998 ... Played in one game, the season opener against USD (11/18/97) in which he scored seven points and grabbed six rebounds in 15 minutes.
High School: During his junior and senior seasons, helped lead Harvard-Westlake to a 66-4 record, including a pair of state titles (Division III) ... During his senior season, Harvard-Westlake chalked up a 36-1 record, earned a #1 ranking among all teams in the state of California, with the Wolverines beating traditional powerhouses Mater Dei, Artesia and Westchester in tournament play during the regular season ... Several national polls ranked Harvard-Westlake among the Top-10 teams in the country ... Harvard-Westlake chalked up his second straight title in Jason's senior season with an 80-50 victory over Hillsdale of Anaheim ... During his senior season, averaged 20.2 points and 14.1 rebounds per game ... Shot 72 percent from the floor ... Finished his high school career with 2,379 points and 1,500 rebounds ... Cardinal Chronicle: An Honors student at Harvard-Westlake who was active in weekend community service projects ... Chosen to honor Harvard-Westlake alumnus and astronaut Sally Ride in a school assembly ... Jason's favorite subject is history, while Jarron's is astronomy ... Jarron and Jason were born eight minutes apart ... Jason is the older of the two ... Jason and his brother's jerseys were retired at an awards ceremony in the Harvard-Westlake gymnasium after their senior season, generating a standing ovation from the audience of more than 1,000 ... While in high school, he was a counselor at Michael Jordan's summer camp in Santa Barbara and played in pickup games with Jordan at day's end ...
