Mendez was terrific in games away from Maples Pavilion from three-point territory ... In the last nine games on the road (Oregon State, Oregon, California, UCLA, USC, Washington State, Washington, Arizona, Arizona State, South Carolina State, North Carolina), Mendez hit 25-of-41 three-point attempts for 61 percent ... 1997-98 Season (Sophomore): The #1 three-point shooter in the Pac-10 ... Shot .474 (45-95) from three-point range, seventh-best for a single season in Stanford basketball history ... Finished the year strong, hitting 17-of-31 three-pointers for 55 percent in the last ten games ... Scored in double figures in nine games off the bench, including a career-high 18 points against UC Santa Barbara (12/22/97) ... Played his best game of the season against Oregon, scoring 13 points (5-for-5 from the floor, 3-for-3 from three-point territory), grabbing four rebounds, and dishing three assists in 20 minutes of play ...
