No. 3 Stanford Defeats Washington, 90-64
SEATTLE -- Kate Starbird poured in 30 points and grabbed seven rebounds as third-ranked Stanford posted a 90-64 Pacific 10 victory over Washington.
Heather Owen scored 24 points and grabbed 10 rebounds and Olympia Scott had 18 points and nine rebounds for Stanford (19-1), which outscored Washington, 50-30, in the second half.
The Cardinal shot 53 percent (17-for-32) from the field in the second half and 49 percent (32-for-67) for the game.
Laure Savasta scored 17 points and Melinda Lynch pulled down 11 rebounds for Washington, which shot 35 percent (22-for-63) and held a 44-38 rebounding edge.
