CORVALLIS, Ore. -- Kate Starbird scored 27 points and Olympia Scott added 23 and 11rebounds, leading third-ranked Stanford to a 79-67 victory overOregon State in a Pac-10 contest.
Jamilia Wideman chipped in 14 points and six assists and VanessaNygaard had 12 points and 12 rebounds for the Cardinal (24-1,12-0 Pac-10), who won despite shooting 35 percent (24-of-68)from the field.
Monica Watts had 12 points, eight rebounds and five assists forOregon State (10-11, 4-8), which shot 24-of-47 (51 percent) fromthe field, but converted only 58 percent (15-of-26) of its freethrows. The Beavers trailed at the half, 35-27.
