EUGENE, Ore. - Each of No. 11 Stanford's three boats swept its races Saturday at the Oregon State Classic in Eugene.

The Cardinal claimed three duel wins against Syracuse in the morning before returning to the water in the afternoon to capture three more wins in races that featured Syracuse, Washington State, Oregon State and San Diego.

Stanford returns to action next Saturday, May 4 for The Big Row against No. 2 California at Redwood Shores.

"Oregon State hosted an excellent event. The morning dual format combined with a five boat race in the afternoon made for great preparation for the back half of the season and the Pac-12 Championships," said Stanford head coach Yasmin Farooq. "We had pretty awesome conditions in the morning, and then a gusting headwind in the afternoon that reminded me of what it can be like to row in Indianapolis, which is where the NCAA's are being held this year. It was a bit of a slugfest with the wind and the waves, and we're better off for having experienced it. All three of our lineups made some really good progress today, and the results confirm the depth of the Pac-12 Conference."

Against the Orange crews in the morning, Stanford opened its three-race sweep with the Four claiming a win of just under 25 seconds against its Syracuse counterpart. Stanford's winning time of 7:18.9 was well into open water against Syracuse's 7:43.25.

The II Eight crossed the line in 6:34.8, nearly 12 seconds faster than the Syracuse II Eight's time of 6:46.6 while the Cardinal I Eight's 6:31.3 time was 12 seconds ahead of the Orange's 6:43.9.

Facing off against the full field after the break, the Cardinal Four slugged it out with Oregon State down the stretch, edging the Beavers by four-tenths of a second, 8:18.9 to 8:19.3. Washington State would come in third in 8:32.3, showing just how far ahead of the pack the Cardinal and Beavers ended up.

The II Eight would not have nearly as much drama in the second race, rowing to a 6.7-second win in 7:22.2. Washington State was next in 7:28.9 while Syracuse led the rest of the pack 10 seconds behind the Cougars.

Stanford's I Eight claimed the main event in a time of 7:15.0, five seconds ahead of Washington State's 7:20.1 and 8.6 seconds ahead of Oregon State.
