BERKELEY, Calif. - Logan James struck out five in 4.2 innings of relief to shoulder Stanford to a 9-4 win over Cal. Stanford also received 12 hits as five players had multi-knock outings, steering the visiting Cardinal to its second straight win at Evans Diamond.

Stanford eyes the Pac-12 Conference baseball series sweep at 1 p.m. (PT) on Sunday.

Logan (2-3) relieved starter John Hochstatter, who went 4.1 frames and gave up four hits. The pair combined to limit Cal (22-30 overall, 10-19 Pac-12) to eight hits and three earned runs.

The Cardinal improved to 28-21 overall and evened its league record to 13-13 as each of the first seven players in its lineup scored at least one run. Each of Stanford's first five runs came with two outs.

Danny Diekroeger scored Austins Slater and Wilson on a two-out, two-RBI single in the opener. Alex Blandino brought home Diekroeger with a single.

Blandino filled the box score with two hits, two runs and two RBI.

Cal got a pair of runs on three hits before Hochstatter induced a 6-4-3 inning-inning double play with the bases loaded in the second.

Brian Ragira singled off the glove of Mitchell Kranson with the bases loaded and two away in the fourth, scoring two to give Stanford a 5-2 lead.

Wayne Taylor singled home one and Lonnie Kauppila's sac fly brought in another as Cal got one back in the fifth while trailing, 7-3.

Stanford continuously peppered the warning track and Blandino belted a sac fly with the bases loaded in the sixth.

The Cardinal rolled its third double play to get out of a one-run eighth.

Cal starter Trevor Hildenberger gave up seven earned runs on eight hits in 4.2 innings.
