IRVINE, Calif. – The No. 14 Stanford men’s volleyball team fell 25-20, 26-24, 20-25, 25-18 at Concordia (CA), Saturday, in Irvine, California. The Cardinal drops to 3-8 overall, while the Eagles move to 6-2.

Stanford was held to a .141 team hitting percentage as Concordia turned in a .200 clip. Playing with NAIA rules, the Cardinal had unlimited substitutions and took advantage. Thirteen different Cardinal players took the court against the Eagles.

Junior outside hitter Madison Hayden led all players with a career high 20 kills. He hit .349 and also collected six digs, four blocks and an ace. He is the first Stanford player to reach the 20-kill plateau this season.

Freshman setter Kyle Dagostino finished with 40 assists five digs and two blocks, including one solo. Freshman Evan Enriques and redshirt senior Grant Delgado split time at libero, finishing with eight and seven digs, respectively.

Junior middle blocker Conrad Kaminski tallied eight kills and eight blocks in the match, but also had seven attack errors. Junior James Shaw recorded five kills, five digs and two blocks in two sets, while Spencer Haly, Alex Stephanus and Daniel Tublin all had three kills.

Devin Ross, Timothy Moses and Timothy Chapel all posted nine kills to lead Concordia. Griffin Ender had a match-best 15 digs to anchor the defense for the Eagles.

Stanford wraps-up its six-match road swing next week at No. 5 UC Irvine on Friday, Feb. 13 and at UC San Diego on Saturday, Feb. 14. Both matches are scheduled for 7 p.m. PT.
