

James Vaughters • Green Bay Packers
STANFORD, Calif.– James Vaughters has signed with the Green Bay Packers as an undrafted free agent.
A native of Stone Mountain, Georgia, the senior outside linebacker is working toward his degree in political science.
Vaughters, named to the Butkus Award watch list and Phil Steele’s preseason All-Pac-12 third team, started all 13 games in 2014, finishing with 51 tackles (31 solo), 11.0 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks. He had nine tackles and 2.0 tackles for loss against Washington, eight tackles and 1.0 sack against Arizona State and five tackles and 2.0 sacks against Maryland in the Foster Farms Bowl.
Vaughters was named Defensive MVP of the Foster Farms Bowl.
In 2013, Vaughters started all 14 games and collected 36 tackles (19 solo), 6.0 tackles for loss, 4.0 sacks, one fumble recovery and forced one fumble. He had seven tackles and a fumble recovery at Army, six tackles, one sack and 1.5 tackles for loss against Washington, and six tackles -- including an 11-yard sack -- against Cal.
Vaughters moved from outside linebacker to inside linebacker as a sophomore and played in 14 games, starting the first four contests. He made a season-high five tackles in his first start against San Jose State, added four tackles in an overtime win against Arizona, and had three stops against Cal.
As a freshman, Vaughters appeared in 13 games, playing on special teams and as a reserve pass rusher and outside linebacker. He made three tackles in his collegiate debut against San Jose State, four tackles against Duke, and posted his first career sack against Arizona.
