STANFORD, Calif. – Four Stanford wrestling duals and the 2016 Pac-12 Wrestling Championships have been selected to be televised on the Pac-12 Networks this season.
The Cardinal’s first TV appearance is its home opener against Penn State on Sunday, Nov. 22 at 1 p.m. PT in Maples Pavilion. The Nittany Lions have won four of the past five NCAA team titles.
Stanford’s home dual against CSU Bakersfield on Thursday, Dec. 17 at 5 p.m. PT has also been selected by the Pac-12 Networks. Road duals against West Virginia and Arizona State, both in Tempe, Arizona on Saturday, Jan. 23, will also air on the Networks.
The finals of the 2016 Pac-12 Championships will be televised on the Pac-12 Networks at 5 p.m. PT. Arizona State will serve as the host site for the tournament on February 27.
Overall, Stanford will wrestle in 15 duals and compete in some of the nation's most competitive collegiate tournaments this year. The Cardinal will have seven home dates, including conference duals against CSU Bakersfield (Dec. 17), defending Pac-12 champion Oregon State (Feb. 4) and Boise State (Feb. 11).
Stanford finished 11-4 last season and crowned two individual conference champions. The Cardinal tied a program-best with five NCAA qualifiers, while redshirt sophomore Jim Wilson (165 pounds) secured All-America accolades in 2014-15.
