21 Named Scholar All-Americans

STANFORD, Calif. -- Twenty-one Stanford track and field athletes earned national All-Academic honors, as announced by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

Twelve Stanford women and nine men were named to the teams. Overall, 12 are All-Americans and all advanced to the NCAA indoor or outdoor championships, NCAA outdoor prelims, or were ranked high nationally indoors. 

Among Stanford's Scholar All-Americans, Valarie Allman (women's discus), Elise Cranny (women's indoor 3,000), Jessica Tonn (women's outdoor 5,000), and Sean McGorty (men's outdoor 5,000) earned first-team individual All-America honors indoors or outdoors.
