STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford returns to the Bay Area for four games this week, beginning with a midweek matchup at Santa Clara and concluding with a three-game series against Oregon State.
The Cardinal (11-14) looks to snap a six-game losing streak against the Broncos (5-28) and will play host to the Beavers (21-9-1) in its first Pac-12 home series of the season.
Stanford returned to action last week after taking a week off for winter finals. The Cardinal dropped a decision at home to Dartmouth before falling in three games at No. 4/7 Oregon.
Carolyn Lee (6-8) had a quality weekend in the circle despite going 0-2, limiting Oregon’s offense and keeping Stanford within striking distance in both of her starts on Thursday and Saturday.
Lee made her Pac-12 debut against a Ducks team that entered the series averaging 8.9 runs per game and 10.8 hits per game, and held them to two runs and three hits overall during Thursday’s game. Lee threw her ninth complete game of the season and held Oregon hitless in the second through fifth inning.
