STANFORD, Calif. – A school-record 12 members of the Stanford women’s water polo team earned 2016 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation All-Academic accolades, which were announced by the league on Tuesday morning. The Cardinal has had at least 10 league academic honorees for each of the past eight seasons.
To be eligible, students must have a 3.00 or better cumulative grade point average, be at least a sophomore academically and have spent at least one academic year at the institution and must have competed in fifty percent of their team’s competition this season.
Shannon Cleary, Katie Dudley, Julia Hermann, Dani Jackovich, Rachel Johnson, Sophia Monaghan, Jamie Neushul, Lauren Norheim, Cassidy Papa, Jordan Raney, Gurpreet Sohi and Anna Yelizarova were recognized for their combined work athletically and in the classroom. Stanford’s 12 all-academic awardees led the MPSF.
