CARDINAL ENTERTAINS MATADORS IN HOME OPENER
After opening the season with an 80-70 victory over Harvard in Shanghai, China on Friday, Stanford has returned to the United States, where the Cardinal will host CSUN on Tuesday in the home opener at Maples Pavilion.

JEROD HAASE ERA OPENS WITH WIN OVER HARD IN SHANGHAI
Stanford opened the Jerod Haase era more than 6,000 miles away from campus in Shanghai, China, defeating Harvard. With the win, Haase became the 16th Stanford head coach (out of 18) to win in his Cardinal debut.

TRAVIS HAS CAREER NIGHT IN RETURN TO THE COURT
After missing the final 22 games last season due to injury, Reid Travis returned to action in Friday's season-opening win against Harvard. He posted career-highs in points (24) and rebounds (17) in 31 minutes of action to lead the Cardinal. Travis' 17 boards were the most in a game by a Cardinal since Josh Huestis posted 18 rebounds against USC on Feb. 20, 2014, a span of 80 games. Travis, who's previous career-high rebounding total was 14 at Texas his freshman season, had 11 rebounds in the first half alone vs. Harvard.

It was Travis' second career double-double. The forward posted 10 points and 10 rebounds against UC Davis in the NIT on March 17, 2015.

BALANCED ATTACK WITH FIVE IN DOUBLE FIGURES
Five different members of the Cardinal posted double digits in the scoring column in Friday's win against Harvard. Reid Travis led the way with 24 points, while Michael Humphrey contributed 15, and Marcus Allen, Dorian Pickens, and Grant Verhoeven added 10 apiece. The last time Stanford had five players score in double figures in a game was the season opener last year against Green Bay, a span of 31 games

AGAINST CSUN
Stanford owns a perfect 4-0 record all-time against CSUN. All four contests were decided by double-digits. The last meeting between the schools occurred on Nov. 18, 2008, a 103-85 win by Stanford. Like this year, it was Stanford's first home game and second contest overall of the season.

VETERAN GROUP
Boasting one of the most experienced rosters in the Pac-12 Conference, four starters - Reid Travis, Michael Humphrey, Marcus Allen, and Christian Sanders - and 10 of the top 11 scorers from last season are back for the Cardinal this year. Including the season opener against Harvard, Stanford's roster has combined for 603 appearances. That total only includes the 13 individuals who have played in one game.

PICKENS THE WORLD TRAVELER
The 2016 Pac-12 China Game was Dorian Pickens' third international basketball trip in a 15-month span. He has traveled more than 20,000 miles around the globe and spent more than 80 hours on an airplane during his international basketball adventures.

In addition to the Pac-12 China game in Shanghai last week, Pickens competed in all six games during Stanford's 2015 summer tour of Italy. He visited Rome, Florence, Venice and Como during the exhibition tour. This past July, the junior was selected to play on the Pac-12 All-Star Team that competed against the Australian Olympic Team in Melbourne. He played in both games for te Pac-12 All-Stars, earning one start.

BIG PROVIDE BOOST
Stanford's group of Reid Travis, Michael Humphrey and Grant Verhoeven provided a strong presence in the blocks for the Cardinal in the win over Harvard. The trio combined to score 49 points and collect 27 rebounds against the Crimson.

The Harvard game was the first time all three have recorded double digits in the scoring column in the same game. Travis and Humphrey each scored in double figures in four of the first eight games of last season, before Travis was sidelined with a leg injury for the remainder of the season.

HOME SWEET HOME
Stanford has won at least 10 home games in 23 straight seasons, dating back to 1992-93. The Cardinal posted a 12-5 home mark in 2015-16.

TRAVIS NAMED CAPTAIN
Junior Reid Travis was named the Cardinal's team captain at the beginning of the season. It was the first time in head coach Jerod's Haase's five years as a head coach he has named a team captain.
