#StanfordNFL: Week 16 Preview

Players to Watch

Levine Toilolo • TE • Atlanta Falcons • Fourth season • @LevineToilolo

With first choice tight end Jacob Tamme already out for the season, Toilolo sits atop the depth chart in Atlanta following fellow Stanford product Austin Hooper's injury in Week 15. Toilolo is likely to lead Falcons tight ends in snaps and could see an increase in targets.

Zach Ertz • TE • Philadelphia Eagles • Fourth season • @ZErtz_86

Ertz made headlines this week by joining Richard Sherman in publicly protesting Thursday Night Football. However, he is also making headlines with his excellent form -- over his past three games, Ertz has 271 receiving yards on 25 catches from 36 targets. Similarly in 2015, Ertz finished his final four games with 450 yards on 35 catches.

Ty Montgomery • WR/KR • Green Bay Packers • Second season • @TyMontgomery2

For the second week in a row, Montgomery is a player to watch after exploding for 162 yards on 16 carries (10.1) average and two touchdowns against Chicago in Week 15. His absurdly high 379.2 elusive rating from Pro Football Focus came as a result of 156 rushing yards after contact while forcing seven missed tackles. Head Coach Mike McCarthy said Thursday he feels there are even more ways to get the second-year man out of Stanford involved in the offense.

Matchup to Watch

Colts at Raiders
Henry Anderson, Andrew Luck and David Parry return to the Bay Area in a must-win game against Oakland, who has already clinched a playoff berth. At 7-7, Indianapolis sits a game behind Houston and Tennessee for the AFC South division lead, and needs to win both remaining games to have a chance at making the postseason.

Injury Report

Austin Hooper is doubtful to play in Saturday's matchup at Carolina after leaving Sunday's clash against San Francisco with a knee injury. Blake Martinez was absent from Green Bay's injury report on Thursday and has made a full recovery from his knee injury. Jordan Richards is questionable with a knee injury he sustained in November's win against the New York Jets. Andrew Luck was a limited participant in practice on Thursday but is expected to suit up at Oakland.
