STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford makes its home debut this weekend when it plays host to three teams as part of the Nike Invitational.
 
The Cardinal (5-2) welcomes Omaha, Pacific and UC Santa Barbara to The Farm. The tournament was originally scheduled to start on Friday but was adjusted due to inclement weather. Seven games are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday.
 
Stanford opens the weekend against the Mavericks (1-4) on Saturday at 10 a.m. (PT) followed by a contest against the Gauchos (1-4) at noon. The Cardinal takes on UCSB on Sunday at 1 p.m. in its final game of the weekend.
 
Stanford was originally slated to play two games against Pacific but the games were canceled and a game may be rescheduled at a later date.
 
The Cardinal is coming off a 6-3 midweek victory at UC Davis on Wednesday. Lauren Bertoy paced Stanford offensively, going 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBIs and two runs.
 
Nikki Bauer (2-1) got the start and pitched well, limiting the Aggies to three runs – one earned – on five hits and two walks with three strikeouts in 5.0 innings. Carolyn Lee (3-1) earned the victory, entering the game in the sixth inning as relief. She held UC Davis to no runs on three hits and two walks in 2.0 innings.
 
Stanford has been impressive offensively this season and has six starters hitting over .333, including three players above the .400 mark. Lauren Bertoy leads the team with a .556 average and is followed by Teaghan Cowles (.520) and Kylie Sorenson (.400).
 
Four Stanford players have registered at least one hit in six-of-seven games this year, including Whitney Burks, Kristina Inouye, Cowles and Sorenson.
