STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford seniors Erica McCall and Karlie Samuelson received WBCA All-America honorable mention recognition the Women's Basketball Coaches Association announced Saturday night.

McCall and Samuelson were part of a key three-person senior class along with Briana Roberson that led Stanford to the 13th Final Four in program history, its 12th Pac-12 Tournament championship and a 32-6 overall record in 2016-17. On Monday, the pair was also named honorable mention All-Americans by the Associated Press.

McCall averaged team highs in points (14.4), rebounds (9.0) and blocks (1.7), scored in double figures in 31 games and had 10 or more rebounds 17 times. She was named the Most Outstanding Player at the Pac-12 Tournament after averaging 11.0 points, 10.7 rebounds and 3.0 blocks in Stanford's three wins and was just as good in the NCAA Tournament, putting up 13.0 points and 11.0 rebounds per game.

The senior finished her career as one of only four players at Stanford with 1,300 career points, 900 rebounds and 200 blocks along with Jayne Appel, Chiney Ogwumike and Val Whiting. On March 1, she was named to the 2016-17 CoSIDA Academic All-American Division I second team to become the eighth academic All-American in program history.

Samuelson averaged career highs in points (12.4), rebounds (3.4) and assists (2.7) and personal bests in field goal percentage (.482) and 3-point field goal percentage (.485) this season. She finished second in the nation in 3-point field goal percentage, a mark good for second in school single-season history and fourth in Pac-12 history.

The senior's 96 made 3-pointers tied Jeanette Pohlen for first in Stanford history and fifth in Pac-12 history and her 249 career 3-pointers are third in the school record books.

A career 44.3 percent 3-point shooter, Samuelson is second at Stanford to Jennifer Azzi and tied for fourth in Pac-12 annals. She ended with the best career 3-point percentage for any Pac-12 player since 1990.

Stanford's Final Four trip was its seventh in the past 10 seasons and the program won 30 games for the 14th time. The Cardinal returns 10 letterwinners in 2017-18, including its top two scorers from the NCAA Tournament in Brittany McPhee and Alanna Smith.
