STANFORD, Calif. - Postseason baseball returns to Sunken Diamond. Stanford earned the No. 8 national seed for the NCAA Championships and will host Cal State Fullerton, BYU and Sacramento State, Thursday-Monday on The Farm. All games can be seen worldwide on ESPN3.com.

» Under Coach Marquess, Stanford is 23-13 against the Hornets.
» These programs last met on April 29, 2009—Stanford won 6-4 at Sunken Diamond. 
» Current Stanford assistant Nicholas Enriquez was a player and assistant under Head Coach Reggie Christiansen during his first year as a head coach at Menlo College.

 Cal State Fullerton - (Stanford leads series, 59-46)
» In the season opening series for both teams, the Titans won 1-0 on Opening Day and took the middle game, 8-1. Stanford rallied from a 6-0 deficit to win 7-6 in 11 innings in the finale.
» These teams have met each of the past three seasons. Prior to that, the last meeting between these schools was in the 2011 NCAA Regional in Fullerton in 2011—Stanford defeated the eighth-ranked Titans, 1-0. Jordan Pries (7.2 innings) and eventual first round draft pick Chris Reed (1.1) combined for the shutout. Stanford won the Regional the next day with a 14-2 victory over Illinois, but eventually fell in the Super Regional at North Carolina.
» The season prior, Fullerton ended Stanford's season in the 2010 Fullerton Regional, 6-5.
