STANFORD, Calif. – No. 1 Stanford suffered a 2-0 loss to Tulsa in a men's soccer upset at Laird Q. Cagan Stadium on Saturday night.

Tulsa's Rollie Rocha scored both goals on penalty kicks, in the 32nd and 58th minutes, to hand Stanford (4-1) its' first defeat. The penalties were created by a foul in the box and a handball, in that order, though neither sequence was threatening when the infractions took place.

Tulsa (2-1-1) snapped Stanford's 10-match unbeaten streak that included a run to the Cardinal's second consecutive NCAA title.

Stanford outshot the Golden Hurricane, 23-11, and had 10 corners to Tulsa's two. Stanford had one shot off the post and had a goal disallowed by offsides. But Tulsa did a great job of warding off Stanford's attacks, especially in the second half, and never seemed to tire.

Stanford plays the fifth match in a six-match homestand on Friday night against San Francisco, with a Sunday match against Yale to follow.
