BOULDER, Colo. – Civana Kuhlmann's brace and another wonderful strike from Michelle Xiao fueled No. 2 Stanford's 10th consecutive win at Colorado on Sunday at Prentup Field.

Kuhlmann, who hails from nearby Centennial, Colorado, led the Cardinal (12-1-0 overall, 5-0-0 Pac-12) with two goals, and Xiao netted her fourth goal in three games to keep Stanford perfect in Pac-12 play. Jaye Boissiere, Kiki Pickett, Madison Haley and Colorado native Jordan DiBiasi pitched in one assist apiece, and Alison Jahansouz earned her fifth shutout of the season.

Stanford outshot the Buffaloes (7-4-3, 1-3-1) 26-4, including an 8-1 advantage in shots on goal. Kuhlmann opened the scoring in the 32nd minute after some nice work from Boissiere, whose assist was her team-leading seventh of the season.

Boissiere dribbled into the box, laying it off to Kuhlmann who curled it inside the far post with her weaker left foot. It was Kuhlmann's first goal since an 8-0 win against San Francisco (Sept. 8), and she would later double her tally in the second half.

Kyra Carusa had a goal disallowed for offside early in the second half before Xiao doubled the lead with an outstanding long-distance goal in the 57th minute. DiBiasi pinged a long diagonal to Xiao on the left wing, and the junior forward did the rest. She beat two defenders and created a yard of space, leaving the keeper no chance to save her dipping shot into the top corner.

After Tierna Davidson nearly scored after a dangerous run by Xiao, Kuhlmann polished off the win with her second goal of the day in the 74th minute. Haley teed up Pickett's precise cross from the right flank, which found the head of Kuhlmann and eventually the back of the net.

Boissiere almost made it 4-0 in the 85th minute with a dangerous effort from 30 yards that rattled the crossbar. Jahansouz finished with one save, also punching away a dangerous Colorado corner kick just before Xiao's goal made it 2-0.

Xiao and Kuhlmann led Stanford with five shots apiece, and Catarina Macario, the Pac-12 leader in shots, had four. Boissiere and Kyra Carusa each made three attempts on goal, and DiBiasi and Collins had two apiece.

The Cardinal returns to action on Friday when it hosts Washington at 8 p.m. PT as part of Stanford's reunion homecoming weekend. The game will broadcast live on Pac-12 Networks with live statistics available at GoStanford.com.Cardinal Notes
