STANFORD, Calif. – For the second consecutive season, fifteen Stanford women's water polo players were named to the All-Academic list by the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC).
Stanford's 15 honorees tied last year's school record. The Cardinal has had at least 10 players earn ACWPC All-Academic distinction each of the past nine seasons. As a team Stanford posted a 3.42 GPA, the ninth-best mark in the country, highest among NCAA Championship participants and the best mark in the MPSF.
Student-athletes eligible for the ACWPC All-Academic award must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or higher. Athlete merit levels include "excellent" (3.2 to 3.4), "superior" 3.41 to 3.7 and "outstanding" 3.71 to 4.0.
