CORVALLIS, Ore. – The 23rd-ranked Stanford women's gymnastics team gave No. 18 Oregon State all it handle for three rotations but came up short Saturday in a nationally-televised meet at energized Gill Coliseum.

The Beavers (2-1, 1-1 Pac-12) pulled away in floor exercise while the Cardinal (3-6, 0-2 Pac-12) struggled on vault, and it proved the difference in the 196.725-195.550 outcome.

Senior Elizabeth Price and freshman Kyla Bryant turned in stellar performances for Stanford. Price (39.600) and Bryant (39.425) finished first and second in all-around, with Price claiming the uneven bars (9.975), tying for first on vault with freshman teammate Rachael Flam (9.850) and shared second on the balance beam (9.875) and in the floor exercise (9.900).

Bryant tied for second on beam (9.875), third on the uneven bars (9.850) and fifth on vault (9.825) and floor (9.875).

"They did a beautiful job leading the team," said head coach Tabitha Yim.

Price came into the meet as the national leader on the uneven bars and in all-around, and was tied for first in floor exercise.

As a team, the Cardinal posted a season-high 49.225 on the uneven bars, led by Price, Bryant (9.850), freshman Taylor Lawson (9.825) and Flam (9.775), the latter a personal-best.

After a tough start on the balance beam, Stanford closed strong behind Price, Bryant (9.875) and freshman Lauren Navarro (9.825).

"We showed some nice growth on bars and vault," Yim said. "We continue to learn and grow each week. We look forward to putting it all together next week at UC Davis."

The Cardinal face the Aggies next on Friday at 2:30 p.m. Live scoring will be available on GoStanford.com.
