Card, Beavers Clash in Maples

STANFORD, Calif. – The Stanford wrestling team returns to The Farm Saturday as it hosts Oregon State for a Pac-12 dual at 3:30 p.m. in Maples Pavilion. Admission is free.

Stanford (6-4, 2-1 Pac-12) is coming off a 27-15 win at Fresno State last Saturday and will be wrestling at home for the first time since Jan. 7. The Cardinal is ranked No. 22 as a team by InterMat, while fifth-year seniors Nathan Butler (285 pounds) and Keaton Subjeck (174 pounds) are ranked in the top 10 at No. 5 and No. 9, respectively. The rankings are the highest of both Butler and Subjeck's careers as the pair lead the team this season with 22 wins.

Butler became just the 10th wrestler in school history to record 100 career wins with his major decision over Cal Poly's Spencer Empey on Jan. 26. The Pac-12 wrestler of the week on Jan. 10, he is currently on an eight-match winning streak. Subjeck is second on the squad with 84 career victories and paces the team with 20 career falls. 

Oregon State (5-5, 1-1 Pac-12) is also coming off a win over Fresno State, defeating the Bulldogs 33-3 in Corvallis on Monday. The Beavers have three wrestlers ranked in this week's InterMat polls. Redshirt senior Amarveer Dhesi is No. 8 at 285 pounds, redshirt junior Ronnie Bresser is No. 12 at 125 pounds, while redshirt junior Corey Griego comes in at No. 14 at 197 pounds. 

Stanford wraps-up its dual season next Friday, Feb. 16 as it hosts Big Ten power Nebraska in Maples Pavilion. The dual will be televised on Pac-12 Networks at 7 p.m.
