STANFORD, Calif. - No. 13 Stanford lacrosse begins its final four-game home stand with two nonconference games. The Cardinal welcomes UC Davis and Fresno State to The Farm -- a midweek matchup with the Aggies on Thursday at 6 p.m., and a Sunday matinee at noon against the Bulldogs.

UC Davis Aggies (5-4) | Statistics
» After a 1-3 start, the Aggies have won four of the last five with the only loss at No. 4 James Madison.
» Stanford will be the third Pac-12 opponent the Aggies have faced this season.
» In all, UC Davis has played three similar opponents as the Cardinal with Stanford defeating Cal, Oregon and Harvard, and the Aggies falling to all three.
» Stanford won the last matchup between these teams, 20-10, on Feb. 10, 2017 in Davis.

Fresno State Bulldogs (58-4) | Statistics
» Sarah Bloise leads the Bulldogs with 33 goals and 48 points this season.
» The Bulldogs and Cardinal have yet to play a common opponent, though Fresno State plays at Cal on Friday.
» Fresno State enters the week after three straight road wins on the East Coast at Wofford, Presbyterian and Radford.
» In the last meeting with Stanford, the old MPSF rivals played their final conference game against each other on April 11, 2017 -- a 17-4 Cardinal victory. 

All-time Leader

» Graduate senior Kelsey Murray has set four school records this season.
» Murray became Stanford's all-time leading scorer with her 146th career goal against Harvard on Feb. 23 at Cagan Stadium. Murray's first tally of the game was the record-setter -- a free position goal at the 23:05 mark to give the Cardinal a 6-1 lead. Murray, who has now scored 174 times in a Cardinal uniform, surpassed Sarah Flynn (2008-11).
» Murray became Stanford's all-time career assists leader on March 2 at Duke. She recorded the 89th of her career to surpass Claire Hubbard (2007-10). On March 11 at Oregon, she became the first player in school history with 100 career assists.
» Murray set two school records on March 4. She became the first player in program history with 10 points in a game (five goals, five assists) and tied the school mark for assists in a game. 
» Murray also holds the school record with 281 career points, including a team-high 56 (32 goals, 24 assists) this season.
» Murray has an active 67-game point streak, dating back to March 7, 2014 against Towson.

Offensive Outburst

» Stanford boasts one of the top offenses in the nation, ranking ninth in the nation in assists (7.25), sixth in points per game (23.08), and seventh in the country in scoring offense (26.17 goals per game). The Cardinal leads the Pac-12 in each category. 
» Kelsey Murray ranks atop the Pac-12 in points (56), points per game (4.67) and shooting percentage (.615), and is second in the league in assists, free position goals and free position percentage.
» Stanford's league-best 23.08 points per game is nearly five points higher than Colorado, which ranks second with 18.55 points per game. 
» The Cardinal also has a Pac-12 leading 190 goals (Arizona State is second with 154), and has a conference-best .448 shooting percentage. 
» Stanford has more possessions than most. The Cardinal ranks 11th in the nation and leads the Pac-12 with 16.00 draw controls per game. Genesis Lucero is tops on the team with 52 draw controls, and Julia Massaro is second with 50. 

 


Inaugural Pac-12 Season

» 2018 marks the first season in Pac-12 history. The conference consists of Cal, Arizona State, USC, Oregon, Cal and the Cardinal. Each team will play each other home and away for a total of 10 conference games. 
» Stanford played in the first-ever Pac-12 game at Colorado on March 9. Sophomore Daniella McMahon won the conference's opening draw control, but the No. 18 Cardinal lost a seven-goal lead and fell to the 19th-ranked Buffaloes, 18-16.
» In the first-ever Pac-12 game at Cagan Stadium, Stanford knocked off arch rival Cal, 21-5, on March 17.
» Stanford, which has been ranked in the IWLCA Top 25 each week this season, was selected to finish third in the Pac-12 in the conference's first preseason coaches poll. The Cardinal has seven games scheduled against teams ranked in the preseason Top 25, and is 3-2 against Top 25 opposition so far this year.
» Dillon Schoen, Madison O'Leary and Kelsey Murray were selected as team captains. Murray is Stanford's all-time leading scorer, O'Leary is a returning captain, and Schoen has played every game in her career. More info here.

On the Road Again

» The women of Stanford lacrosse had quite the 11-day adventure. From March 1-11, the team traveled more than 7,700 miles, spent time in five different airports and hit 10 different cities for its road games at No. 15 Duke, Elon, No. 19 Colorado and Oregon. 
» The team also lost an hour due to daylight savings time on this trip.
» Stanford flew in and out of airports in San Francisco, Raleigh, San Jose, Denver and Portland.  
» In addition to the airports, the Cardinal also took the team bus to Durham, Elon, Boulder, Eugene and Palo Alto. 
» In all, Stanford logged 7,317 miles in the air and 462 miles on the bus. 
» Stanford went 3-1 on the road trip. All three wins came by double digits and the only loss was to the 19th-ranked Buffaloes, 18-16.

A Look Back

» Senior Kelsey Murray scored four times and sophomore Daniella McMahon filled the box score to lead No. 16 Stanford past Arizona State, 20-8, on Friday night at Sun Devil Stadium.
» For the second straight Sunday, freshman Galen Lew scored the game winner for Stanford to cap a comeback victory over No. 15 USC, and push the Cardinal into sole possession of first place in the Pac-12. A full recap is here


A Look Ahead

» The Cardinal is a half game ahead of Colorado (7-4, 5-1 Pac-12) for the top spot in the Pac-12. The Buffaloes, who rallied from a seven-goal deficit in Boulder to beat Stanford in the first-ever Pac-12 lacrosse game, will visit The Farm for a rematch inside the Stanford football stadium on Friday, April 13 at 7 p.m. PT 
» Friday's matchup against Colorado will also be the One Love game for Stanford. 
» Stanford will celebrate Senior Day on Sunday, April 15 at Stanford Stadium against Oregon at 1 p.m.
