GOLD RIVER, Calif. – Stanford women's rowing finished in third place as a team in the Pac-12 Championships on Sunday behind three third-place finishes and a second-place finish in the varsity eight.
Stanford's top boat battled for a silver finish in the varsity eight, separating from California down the stretch. The Cardinal finished with a time of 06:33.453 to Cal's 06:34.533. Washington took the top spot, racing to a time of 06:30.122.

The Cardinal placed third in its other three races in the regatta. Stanford opened the day with a third-place finish in the third varsity eight. The Cardinal took bronze with a time of 07:02.162. Washington won the gold at 06:44.975 and Cal took the silver with a time of 06:50.821.
The second varsity eight also took home the bronze, finishing third with a time of 06:52.558. Washington and Cal took the top two spots, respectively.
In the varsity four, the Cardinal raced to a time of 07:42.019, outpacing the fourth-place Washington State Cougars by 10 seconds. The third-place finish was Stanford's third of the morning.

Stanford takes home the bronze in the Pac-12 Championships with 35.5 points as a team, just a half-point out of second place, where Cal finished with 36 points. Washington won gold with 45.5 points, and USC placed fourth with 22 points as a team.
Stanford will turn its focus to the NCAA Championships, which take place May 25-27 in Sarasota, Florida. Stanford will await the committee's selections during the NCAA Rowing Selection Show, which will be broadcast on NCAA.com at 2 p.m. PT on Tuesday, May 15.
