STANFORD, Calif. –Stanford will play in front of a national television audience in 30 of 31 regular-season games as men's basketball game times and television selections were announced by the Pac-12 Conference Thursday.
The Cardinal will play on the ESPN family of networks a record 16 times, including 11 conference games, during the regular season. The Pac-12 Networks will televise 13 games with FS1 airing one Cardinal contest.
In all, Stanford's 2018-19 regular-season schedule features 15 home games, as many as nine contests against NCAA Tournament opponents from last season, including NCAA Final Four participant, Kansas. Along with its tournament opener against Wisconsin, Stanford's possible matchups in the Battle 4 Atlantis include 2018 NCAA Tournament teams Florida, Oklahoma and Butler. The ESPN family of networks will air the entire tournament.
At least four, and possibly five, of Stanford's 2018-19 opponents are projected in the top-18 of ESPN's and CBS Sports' early 2018-19 preseason rankings, including No. 2 Kansas, No. 8 North Carolina, No. 17 Oregon and No. 18 UCLA. Virginia, who Stanford could face in the Battle 4 Atlantis, is No. 7.

The season tips off Nov. 6 against Seattle at 7 p.m. in the first of 13 games televised on Pac-12 Networks. The other five nonconference home contests against Wofford (Nov. 16), Portland State (Nov. 28), Eastern Washington (Dec. 15), San Jose State (Dec. 18) and Long Beach State (Dec. 29) will also air on Pac-12 Networks. The conference network will also broadcast Stanford's Dec. 22 matchup at San Francisco.
Along with the Battle 4 Atlantis, ESPN will televise Stanford's games at North Carolina on Nov. 12 (4 p.m. PT on ESPN2) and at Kansas on Dec. 1 (2:30 p.m. PT on ESPN).
For the first time in six years, Stanford will open the Pac-12 slate on the road, facing UCLA on Thursday, Jan. 3 at 8 p.m. (ESPN) and USC on Sunday, Jan. 6 at 5 p.m. (ESPNU).
The first of Stanford's two matchups with rival California will take place in Berkeley on Sunday, Feb. 3 at 1 p.m. (ESPNU). The Cardinal will close the regular season at home against its rival on Thursday, March 7 at 8 p.m. (ESPN2 or ESPNU).
Along with the two games in Los Angeles and the two matchups with Cal, the ESPN family of networks will televise Stanford's conference games at Washington (Jan. 17 at 6 p.m.), at Oregon (Feb. 10 at 5 p.m.), home against USC (Feb. 13 at 8 p.m.) and UCLA (Feb. 16 at 7 p.m.), at Arizona State (Feb. 20 at 6 p.m. PT), at Arizona (Feb. 24 at 5 p.m. PT) and home against Washington (March 3 at 1 p.m.).
Stanford will make its first trip to the Beaver State since January of 2017 when the Cardinal faces Oregon State in Corvallis on Thursday, Feb. 7 (7 p.m.) and Oregon in Eugene on Sunday, Feb. 10 (5 p.m.).
The Cardinal will play its final three games of the regular season at home, with visits from Washington State (Feb. 28 at 6 p.m.) and the previously-mentioned matchups with the Huskies and the Golden Bears.
The 2019 Pac-12 Conference Tournament will once again be held in T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The four-day tournament will take place from Wednesday, March 13 – Saturday, March 16.
Fans will get their first look at the 2018-19 squad when Stanford hosts Sonoma State in an exhibition contest at Maples Pavilion on Tuesday, Oct. 30, at 7 p.m. PT.
Stanford, in its third season under Anne and Tony Joseph Director of Men's Basketball, Jerod Haase, returns two starters from a team that posted its best Pac-12 finish (third) and most conference victories (11) in a decade last year. The Cardinal won 19 games and earned a postseason berth for the first time in three years last season.
