STANFORD, Calif. -- Senior Elizabeth Price recorded a perfect "10" on bars to spark Stanford to a second-place showing Monday night in the season-opening NorCal Classic at Maples Pavilion.
It was the the first 10 on bars for a Cardinal gymnast since Liz Tricase accomplished the feat in 2006. Price previously received a perfect score in vault against Oregon State in 2016.
Price earned 10 scores from three judges on Monday night, two on bars and one on floor.

On the floor, she tallied 10.0 and 9.95 to finish with a 9.975. She also posted 9.850 in vault and 9.825 on beam to conclude the evening with an all-around total of 39.650 to lead all competitors.
Price is tied for No.1 nationally in all-around and ranks first in bars and floor. In addition, Stanford ranks first in the country on floor.
The Cardinal received strong performances from freshmen Lauren Navarro (39.175) and Kyla Bryant (38.725), who competed in all four events. Navarro scored 9.850 on bars and floor, 9.800 on beam and 9.700 on vault, Bryant posted a 9.925 on floor and 9.850 on beam.
"It was definitely a promising start," Yim said. "What I appreciate about this team is they go big. The mistakes we made were being aggressive and that's all you can really ask for at the beginning of the year. Especially with so many freshmen in the lineup."
Yim also singled out sophomores Kaylee Cole and Ashley Tai. Cole competed in three events and scored 9.825 on the floor, while Tai posted 9.800 on the beam.Freshman Kyla Bryant opens with a gigantic double layout with legs glued together. Freshman Taylor Lawson produced 9.850 on floor and 9.825 on bars.
"All were poised and steady," said Yim.
